Job summary

The University of New Mexico Dean of Students Office is seeking a motivated student worker to support the Lobo Food Pantry, helping end student hunger. This on-campus role offers exposure to real-world operations while fitting flexible class schedules.

Ideal candidates are detail-oriented, reliable, and collaborative, with interest in student services and food rescue. Prior UNM work experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate computer intake records of students attending the Lobo Food Pantry.
• Assist students in shopping, weighing and locating carrying supplies.
• Answer questions regarding UNM food resources and community food resources.
• Stock shelves to ensure sufficient choices are available.
• Attend monthly meetings with the Basic Needs Specialist.
• Unload and inspect bi-weekly food deliveries from Roadrunner Food Bank; check expiration dates and condition before stocking.
• Sanitize shopping baskets after use.
• Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned by the Basic Needs Specialist.
