Job summary

High Point University’s Student Financial Planning Operations Administrator provides technical and operational support to the SFP Office, coordinating with IT, Admissions, Student Accounts and Business offices to maintain and upgrade software systems used by the SFP.

The role handles aid processing, data reporting, testing of upgrades, regulatory compliance, and data reconciliation to award and disburse financial aid for current and prospective students.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Computer Information Systems or related field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 3 years in higher education with knowledge of student finance environment preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, Power BI, and Power Pivot are essential.
• Ability to collect, research and resolve errors within systems, processes, data and reports.

Responsibilities

• Assists in the direct support of the SFP Office in aid processing, file loading, and developing queries and reports in the evaluation of the financial aid process of current and prospective students.
• Completes annual system setup and testing in collaboration with the SFP management team.
• Performs necessary testing of systems and software upgrades to identify and resolve issues before implantation into production.
• Keeps informed of federal and state regulations to ensure compliance.
• Ensures proper flow of data between the SFP systems, the Department of Education and other internal and external systems daily.
• Provides necessary reports for proper operations within SFP, other departments, and external entities.
• Processes aid packaging of all prospective and currently enrolled students.
• Reviews and reconciles all data necessary to award, transmit, and disburse financial aid.
• Certifies private loan requests and reconciles Direct Loans, PELL, and state funds in collaboration with the Accounting Department.
• Maintains SFP website.
