Job summary

Arizona College of Nursing is hiring a Financial Aid Officer to be on-site at our Arlington campus. You’ll guide students through financial aid options, complete FAFSA activities, verify awards, and help with loan terms while ensuring compliance.

The role involves collaboration with academic and student services teams to support student success. Ideal candidates hold a high school diploma with 1 year in financial aid or related fields, strong customer service, and excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in financial aid, student services, customer service, or related field.
• Strong customer service orientation with a genuine passion for helping others.
• Detail-focused with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and counseling skills.
• Self-motivated and capable of working independently while thriving in a collaborative team environment.
• Must be eligible to enroll in the National Student Loan Data System (NSLDS).

Responsibilities

• Advise students and families on financial aid eligibility, application procedures, and funding sources.
• Support FAFSA completion, verification, and award acceptance.
• Explain loan terms, repayment obligations, and financial literacy concepts clearly.
• Provide guidance to resolve financial aid issues affecting enrollment or progress.
• Package and process financial aid awards in full compliance with regulations.
• Keep student records complete and up to date for timely disbursement.
• Collaborate with academic and student services teams to enhance student experience.
