Job summary

Lynn University is seeking a Financial Aid Counselor who will provide the highest level of customer service to Lynn students and parents while awarding financial aid and advising on all aspects of aid and student accounts. The role requires knowledge of institutional, state and federal regulations, and collaboration with SFS and campus partners to support retention and recruitment initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university; or one to two years related experience.
• Experience advising students on financial aid and related processes.
• Knowledge of institutional, state and federal financial aid regulations.

Responsibilities

• Package and process financial aid for students.
• Advise students/parents on financial aid packages and processes.
• Assist in managing accounts receivable to encourage timely payments.
• Call students for missing information to expedite processing.
• Collaborate with campus departments to resolve student issues.
• Participate in outreach and training to promote retention and recruitment.
