Job summary

Lynn University is seeking a Financial Aid Counselor to provide and support student financial services. The role includes packaging financial aid, advising students and parents, and coordinating with Student Accounts and other departments to ensure timely aid disbursement and accurate loan data.

The position emphasizes high-quality customer service, compliance with federal/state regulations, and participation in outreach and training activities to support retention and recruitment efforts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

Responsibilities

• Package and process financial aid for students
• Advise students and/or parents on financial aid package and SFS-related processes
• Counsel students and/or parents about financial aid and financing options
• Call students that are missing information or documents to expedite processing of their financial aid
• Assist in completion of other counselors’ work during paid time-off or unplanned absences
• Contact students for missing financial aid forms as needed
• Assist in outreach communication events geared towards their specific student population
• Attend seminars, conferences, webinars and other training opportunities

Education
