Job summary

Camino Nuevo Charter Academy is seeking a Student & Family Services Coordinator in Los Angeles to lead a parents-as-partners culture and a comprehensive student support program across campuses. The role works under the Principal to build strong relationships with students, families, staff and community partners, coordinating training, parent education, and volunteer involvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• Fluency in Spanish and English.
• Experience in urban schools or organizational operations is a plus.
• Knowledge of data systems like PowerSchool is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to positive school culture by developing relationships with students, families and staff.
• Coordinate and facilitate a parent program and a student support program at one or more locations.
• Plan and implement a new student/family training program for onboarding.
• Develop and oversee the parent volunteer program with tracking of hours and events.
• Engage families through regular communication, workshops, and community partnerships.
• Travel to multiple locations and provide translation as needed.
• Support parent involvement in events like Open House and Back to School Night.
