Location: Frederick, MD

Pay Range: $23.01/hr - $25.31/hr (based on skills and experience)

Schedule: Variable, Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM

Employment Type: Part-time

Position Overview

The Admissions Assistant supports enrollment services by assisting with admissions, answering student inquiries, maintaining student records, and providing operational support. The role requires excellent customer service skills, cultural awareness, and the ability to work with diverse populations.

Essential Duties
  • Answer phones and emails, assist with enrollment functions
  • Maintain accuracy of student records and assist with application processing
  • Respond to student inquiries and guide them on information systems
  • Support departmental projects and events, including college fairs and high school visits
  • Conduct campus tours and assist prospective students
  • Ensure compliance with FERPA and institutional policies
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
  • High School Diploma
  • Two years of experience in customer service, higher education, or sales
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate Degree
  • Experience with higher education databases and student information systems
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to speak a second language and experience working with diverse populations
