Job summary

Penn State College of Medicine seeks a Student Affairs Generalist to design, plan and execute engagement and wellness programming for all MD and PA students in Hershey, PA. You will connect students with administrators and student leaders to reflect diverse needs and interests across multiple programs.

The role splits roughly 70% into student engagement and wellness events, and 30% supporting marketing/social media for student-facing digital engagement. Evening/weekend availability required.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated ability to plan and execute events for diverse groups.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed for events.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively across multiple stakeholder groups.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, and execute engagement events for MD and PA programs across the academic year.
  • Develop and implement an annual calendar of engagement events in collaboration with student leaders, faculty, and Student Affairs staff.
  • Manage event logistics, including venue/room reservations, vendor coordination, budgeting, and day-of execution.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness and reach of engagement programming and adjust future programming based on student feedback and participation data.
  • Design and implement wellness-focused programming and initiatives that support students' mental, physical, and social well-being.
  • Oversee the College of Medicine Student Emergency Fund applications and distribution.
  • Track society membership, activities, and budgets, and ensure alignment with College policies and expectations.
  • Partner with Marketing and Communications on social media strategy for student life and recruitment.
