Job summary

New York University Liberal Studies is seeking a Student Affairs Administrator to join the Student Affairs team. This role will support the development, delivery, and assessment of school-wide student programs and activities.

The incumbent will identify, implement and evaluate student clubs, services, and resources to boost engagement, and serve as a liaison between students, student groups, and University partners to resolve issues.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree is required.
  • Master's Degree preferred (Student Personnel Administration, Counseling, or related field).
  • 2+ years of experience in student services/activities or equivalent.
  • Experience with event planning and some budget management preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal, analytical, oral and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of standard office software.
  • Ability to interact with all levels of faculty and staff.
  • Excellent planning and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work some evenings and weekends for events and programs.

Responsibilities

  • Support development, delivery, and assessment of school-wide student programs and activities for Liberal Studies.
  • Identify, implement and evaluate student clubs, services, and resources to enhance engagement.
  • Serve as liaison between students, student groups, and University partners to resolve issues and provide guidance.
  • Supervise, train, and mentor students in leadership roles.
  • Contribute to strategic planning and implementation under direction.
