Job summary

The Institute of Food Technologists in Chicago, IL, is seeking a Manager, Academic Engagement to design and implement engagement and leadership development opportunities for student members, driving retention and recruitment across the IFTSA.

The role requires strong leadership, collaboration across teams, and oversight of budgeting and event logistics for bi-monthly workshops, competitions, and awards at the annual event. Occasional domestic travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, management, communications, education, or equivalent.
• 5+ years of experience or demonstrated competency in a similar position requiring progressive administrative responsibilities and program management.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of student member experiences driving engagement, retention and recruitment.
• Execute all activities for IFTSA, ensuring strategic goal alignment and effective volunteer leadership development.
• Serve as IFT Staff Liaison on IFTSA task forces and committees.
• Develop, design and implement networking and educational opportunities for IFTSA and student members.
