Rollins College is seeking a Student Engagement Intern for the Center for Leadership & Community Engagement (CLCE) to help develop summer programs and support campus-community partnerships.
The intern will contribute to SPARC Day of Service and SummerSERVE, coordinate with community partners, and assist with marketing, outreach, and project management while gaining professional skills in a Liberal Arts setting.

The Center for Leadership & Community Engagement (CLCE) fosters, encourages, and promotes student, faculty, and staff involvement within local and global communities. CLCE inspires action and cultivates positive social change through leadership development and community engagement. Through opportunities such as service-learning courses, community-based learning, leadership development, community service, and innovative programs and resources, CLCE inspires action and cultivates positive social change through leadership development and community engagement.
As a student staff member in CLCE, the intern will be immersed in hands-on experiences in theory and in practice of both academic and student affairs as it relates to fostering active citizenship in others. The intern will have the unique opportunity to create, develop, and enhance existing programs for CLCE, while developing necessary skills to challenge and support students, faculty, and staff in a Liberal Arts environment. The intern will also support CLCE’s Strategic Priorities, in addition to working on additional CLCE summer programming, as necessary. This internship will be supported by the Rhoda Newberry Reed Foundation and will focus on building capacity in Rollins leadership and community engagement summer programs, including, but not exclusively SPARC (Service Passion Action, Rollins College) and SummerSERVE.
The ideal candidate(s) will possess a strong desire to work collaboratively with students, faculty, and staff members from various departments, challenge themselves and others in intellectual growth and development, and have a strong interest in community engagement, leadership, and diversity.

The Student Engagement Intern within the Center for Leadership & Community Engagement will be immersed in hands-on experiences in theory and practice of both academic and student affairs as it relates to fostering active citizenship in others.

Specific Internship Details and Compensation: The internship will take place from May 18th to August 28th and will be approximately 40 hrs/week.The position receives office space and a parking pass. The intern will receive a generous stipend of $9070 which should be used for time on the job (compensation), necessary travel (community partner visits, etc), on-campus or off-campus living expenses,food and groceries, cultural outings, and academic credit internship costs.If the intern chooses to live on campus, housing expenses will be taken from the stipend for the necessary amount of weeks at $168.00 per week equating to housing costs of approximately $2,000-$2,500. The intern is also REQUIRED to participate in the Rollins Collegeacademic internship program, and they will receive 4-credits as a part of this experience. The stipend above should also be utilized to cover the $500 internship course fee. Thus, the intern will receive the remaining total after the costs above are dispersed on a bi-weekly basis evenly distributed over 14 weeks.The selected candidate must register for the academic internship course through the Center for Career & Life Planning before May 10th.
