Job summary

Louisville Presbyterian Theological Seminary seeks a Student Assistant for the Black Church Studies Program to support student engagement and relationship-building within the program's academic and community life.

The Student Assistant will work closely with the Director of Black Church Studies to strengthen connections between the program and LPTS students, focusing on student engagement, programming, and opportunities for the community to participate in the program's intellectual and spiritual

Qualifications

• Must be a current LPTS student in good academic standing.
• Interest in Black Church Studies, theology, ministry, or life and witness of Black churches.
• Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills; enjoys connecting with students.

Responsibilities

• Build relationships with LPTS students and encourage engagement with Black Church Studies programs and activities.
• Develop and support student-centered programming for relationship-building, theology discussions, fellowship, and community.
• Promote Black Church Studies lectures, workshops, conversations, worship opportunities, and other programs to students.
