Job summary

The New School in New York City is seeking a part-time OCSE Student Assistant Specialist to support ISSS communications and engagement. The role focuses on coordinating social media, newsletters, events, signage, and webinar moderation under the ISSS Director.

You will moderate virtual drop-in advising Tue/Thu 1:55–4:05 PM, assist with ISSS event marketing, monitor emails, and help with office tasks and special projects. This on-campus role offers 10 hours weekly at $18–$21 per hour.

Qualifications

• Must be available to moderate virtual drop-in advising hours on Tuesdays and Thursdays 1:55–4:05 PM EST.
• Strong familiarity with social media platforms and content creation.
• Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
• Ability to develop virtual and graphic designs for engagement materials.

Responsibilities

• Moderate ISSS drop-in advising sessions.
• Coordinate social media posts (Instagram) and Brevo newsletters; manage WhatsApp communications.
• Assist with coordinating and setting up ISSS events; promote events on Narwhal Nation and social channels.
• Monitor ISSS events email inbox and respond as needed.
• Support marketing of ISSS events and other office tasks or special projects.
