Qualifications

  • Eligibility for Federal Work-Study preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a welcoming and professional demeanor.
  • Excellent oral, presentation, and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and Quinnipiac-related technologies (i.e. MyQ, SharePoint, website).
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Preference for prior participation in an Office of Belonging program (i.e. Bobcat Academy, Commuter Connections, First Generation Support, First Year Immersion, QU Enriching Student Transitions, Pell Student Support, Sawhney Leadership Program, Transfer Connections)

Responsibilities

  • Receive and facilitate assignments relative to the planning, hosting, or facilitation of parts or the whole of Office of Belonging programs.
  • Coordinate with Office of Belonging staff to provide and/or collaborate in programmatic efforts such as but not limited to Organizer, Facilitator, Recorder, and Entertainment roles.

Responsibilities
  • Receive and facilitate assignments relative to the planning, hosting, or facilitation of parts or the whole of Office of Belonging programs
  • Coordinate with Office of Belonging staff to provide and/or collaborate in programmatic efforts such as but not limited to
    • Organizer –Contributes to the pre-event planning and readying processes
    • Facilitator – Participates as part of day-of and/or during event team hosting the event
    • Recorder – Participate in the auditory, visual, or written recording of an event.
    • Entertainment – Perform one or more aspects of the events’ ambiance or feature presentation
