Job summary

The New York State Justice Center for the Protection of People with Special Needs is seeking an undergraduate student to join the Office of Communications. This role provides hands-on experience to support our agency’s digital content efforts and to build a strong resume in social media, writing, and digital media.

Working directly with the Director of Digital Content, you will help deliver engaging campaigns, maintain the organization's website, manage social profiles, and assist with email

Qualifications

• Undergrad student pursuing studies in Communications, Marketing, Graphic Design, or related field.
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite required.
• Familiarity with HTML/CSS and Adobe Creative Suite products preferred.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
• Creativity, attention to detail, and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Content Creation & Management: Write and share digital content and manage posts across channels.
• Support digital campaigns and ideation for innovative content.
• Maintain and update the organization’s website with news and events.
• Manage social media profiles with timely, engaging posts.
• Assist in creating and executing email marketing campaigns.
• Monitor campaign metrics, report trends, and suggest improvements.
• Ensure brand consistency across channels.
