Job summary

Oregon State University’s CASS Software Development Group seeks multiple Student Developers for part-time work (up to 20 hours weekly). You’ll contribute to ongoing projects, report progress, and learn essential software development practices in a team setting.

Interns will gain experience across OOPlanguages, databases, and modern development tools while working with full-time staff and student mentors. Remote options exist for qualifying Ecampus students.

Qualifications

• Must be academically enrolled in a high school, community college, or university and pursuing a program or course of study
• Must meet Academic Standing Requirements; students on academic suspension are not eligible for employment
• Undergraduate/international criteria: 6/12/5/9 credit hours per term as applicable to status
• Graduate international/admitted: 9/5 credit hours per term as applicable

Responsibilities

• Self-directed – Student Developers are assigned one or two projects and must complete work items within a reasonable time
• Examples of work include adding features, fixing bugs, updating documentation, or researching technologies
• Seek help when needed from staff, other students, mentors, or online resources
• Work as a team and report progress in meetings, partnering with CAS S customers and other developers
