Job summary

Broward County Public Schools is seeking an Information Management Technician (Elementary/Middle School) to ensure accurate student data for state and management reports. You will gather and input student and course information into the district database and maintain secure, auditable files.

The role involves creating schedules, enrolling and updating records, and generating official reports while adhering to state requirements and school board policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• At least 2 years of related experience within the last 5 years.
• Knowledge of clerical practices and standard office equipment.
• Completion of Broward County Information Management Technician Training within 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Create Master Schedule, Bell Schedule, and Course Dictionary using the district database.
• Enter information for new enrollments, withdrawals and renewals.
• Assign student numbers and maintain accurate schedules and documentation.
• Process report cards and grade changes; generate reports from district systems.
• Safeguard confidentiality of student data and support FTE auditing requirements.
