Job summary

Broward County Public Schools seeks an Information Management Technician (Elementary/Middle) to ensure accurate student data is available for state and district reporting. Qualifications

• Standard high school diploma or satisfactory completion of GED.
• Minimum two years of related experience within the last five years.
• Knowledge of clerical practices and procedures.
• Completion of Broward County Information Management Technician Training within the first 90 days of employment or first available training class.
• Computer skills as required for the position.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to instructions and prescribed methods to meet deadlines.
• Create the Master Schedule, Bell Schedule, and Course Dictionary in the district database.
• Ensure accuracy of student data for State FTE reporting.
• Enter enrollments, withdrawals and renewals into the district system.
• Process report cards, changes in grades, and incomplete notices as appropriate.
• Generate reports from TERMS, Data Warehouse, Optispool and other local reporting systems.
• Maintain confidentiality of student data and privileged information.
• Interact with staff, students, parents, and administrators with tact and good judgment.
