Job summary

Qualifications

• Previous experience with sewing, costume construction, alterations, or wardrobe work.
• Basic knowledge of sewing machines, sergers, hand sewing, and other costume shop equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain quality workmanship.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with faculty, staff, student designers, and other student employees.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the creation, construction, alteration, and maintenance of costumes for the Theatre and Dance Department.
• Duties may include sewing, patterning, alterations, repairs, fittings, and other costume-related tasks.
• Work with the Shop Supervisor to support daily operations and maintenance of the Costume Shop.
• Organize materials and equipment, maintain a clean and safe workspace, and assist with inventory.
• Ensure the shop remains functional and prepared for productions.
