Job description

Title: STUDENT: Costume Shop

Position Compensation: $11.80 per hour
Location: University Campus - St. Paul, Minnesota

Position Summary: To assist the Theatre Department in providing costumes and props for Theatre productions, as well as maintaining order in the costume shop between productions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work with a variety of fabrics and other materials in preparing costumes
  • Operate various machines and tools in order to refine and alter costumes
  • Construct props using a variety of tools and materials
  • Maintain and organize the costume shop between productions
  • Assist in the tear down, restocking and organizing of all props at the end of a production
  • Perform other duties as requested or assigned

Qualifications
  • Must be able to sew and use a sewing machine. Basic sewing is required, but moderate and skilled sewing is a bonus
  • Able to follow direction and ask for help when unclear on responsibilities
  • Able to work in a multi-tasked, fast-paced environment with specific deadlines
  • Maintain a growing, personal relationship with Jesus Christ, reflect His character in all interactions, and faithfully uphold and embrace Northwestern’s mission, Doctrinal Statement and Declaration of Christian Community

  • Background Check: Must pass background check as a condition of employment.
