Student Content Creator - Student Position
The Office of University Marketing and Communication is seeking an creative and dependable Student Content Creator to support Coastal Carolina University’s flagship social media accounts. This position will assist the social media team by capturing and creating engaging photo and video content that showcases campus life and strengthens the University’s brand across social media platforms.
This position will work up to 20 hours per week, with hours scheduled between 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 8 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Friday. Occasional evening or after-hours event coverage may be required, with scheduled hours adjusted accordingly.
Duties may include, but are not limited to:
- Capturing high-quality photos and videos of campus life,events, students, faculty, and staff for CCU’s flagship socialmedia accounts.
- Shooting photos using a professional DSLR or mirrorlesscamera.
- Shooting videos using professional video equipment such as anOsmo or similar.
- Creating and editing short-form video content, including Reels,Stories, and other social-first content.
- Editing photos and videos using Photoshop, Lightroom, CapCut,or similar programs.
- Creating social media graphics and other visual content usingCanva.
- Assisting with real-time social media coverage of Universityevents.
- Identifying social media trends and creative contentopportunities appropriate for the CCU brand.
- Collaborating with the social media team to brainstorm andexecute content ideas and campaigns.

Required Qualifications
- Enrolled as a full-time CCU student during employment.
- Experience creating photo and video content for socialmedia.
- Experience using a professional DSLR or mirrorless camera.
- Knowledge of Photoshop and/or Lightroom.
- Experience shooting and editing video using CapCut or similarsoftware.
- Strong working knowledge of Canva.
- Ability to work up to 20 hours per week during the University’sregular business hours, with occasional availability for eveningevents.
- Applicants should provide examples of previous photography,video, or social media content.
Preferred Qualifications
- Marketing, communication, digital media, graphic design,photography, or related majors preferred.
