Job summary

Southern New Hampshire University is seeking a Community Standards Manager to work with faculty, staff and students to manage violations of the Academic Integrity Policy and Student Code of Conduct, educating on policies, coordinating reviews, and communicating resolutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of work experience in related field (e.g., conflict resolution, law or justice studies, risk management, student affairs).
• Ability to prioritize work, adapt to evolving priorities, balance competing needs, and meet deadlines.
• Experience and/or training in managing conflicts between individuals and groups in higher education.
• Strong communication, conflict management, and problem-solving skills.
• Working knowledge of higher education laws, compliance and regulatory issues; ability to analyze complaints objectively.
• Excellent written English for sanctions letters, case files and correspondence.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and case-management systems.

Responsibilities

• Research and review student conduct and academic integrity cases as submitted by faculty, staff, and students.
• Track progress and trends for conduct and academic integrity cases; maintain case files and summaries in the database.
• Present case summaries and recommendations with appropriate detail to leadership when needed.
• Coordinate complex academic integrity and student conduct hearings with appropriate parties.
• Communicate with students and other constituencies with sensitivity; deliver outcomes to students.
• Interpret and explain the Code of Conduct and Academic Integrity Policy and related policies.
• Meet with students in person or virtually to review concerns and resolve conduct and integrity matters.
• Assign and track educational sanctions; follow up to ensure sanctions are met.
• Coordinate support for Title IX reports with Title IX and Equity Officer and other offices.
