Job summary

Utah Valley University is seeking an event staff concessions employee to support the UVU Event Center team. As a Concessions Student Team Member, you will take orders, run registers, prepare and cook food, and help with cleaning, inventory, and safety protocols.

You’ll interact with guests at concerts, athletics, and events while maintaining exceptional customer service. The role requires you to be a current UVU student, with a high school diploma or GED, and the ability to stand for extended

Qualifications

• Experience in handling cash and serving customers is preferred.
• Knowledge of food safety procedures and proper handling of food items.
• Ability to prepare and cook basic food/beverage items.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift items as needed.

Responsibilities

Concessions Student Team Members must be prepared to work in an exciting and fast-paced environment. Joining the Event Center team at UVU means exposing yourself to some of the best concerts, shows, athletics, expos, and parties in Utah Valley.

As a Student Concession Team Member of Utah County’s premier event center, you join us in:

• Ensuring a positive, safe experience for our hundreds of thousands of patrons annually.
• Contribute to the successful execution of events by ensuring that quality, consistency, and safety of all food and beverage services are in compliance with campus, state, and industry protocols.
• Take orders.
• Run registers and payment systems
• Prepare and cook food and beverage items.
• Clean and sanitize ,and assist with inventory.
• Making lasting positive relationships, and other duties as assigned are all crucial daily activities.

• Must be a current UVU Student
• Graduation with a high school diploma or GED.
