Job Summary
Join the Systems and Technology ( SYSTECH ) team that supports the State of Utah’s flagship College of Nursing at the University of Utah. SYSTECH prides itself on providing state-of-the-art support, creating innovative solutions, and fostering growth for each employee.
This is a non-benefitted student work study position. Only students with Federal Work Study funds will be accepted. The position works in the College of Nursing building and supports other building and departments on campus.
As a Student Computer Operator at SYSTECH , you gain valuable experience to advance your skillset and future career path. We believe in creating space on the team to rethink processes and create new solutions to old problems.
The Student Computer Operator reports to the IT Manager and will be a SYSTECH’s ops team member. Scope of work includes supporting faculty and staff that utilize computer and AV technology. The individual in this position works closely with other members of the SYSTECH team to provide technology support for the College via ticketing system or zoom room.
Technology Areas of support include:
Windows and Apple desktops, laptops, mobile devices
AV equipment
Operating systems and software
Zoom Meetings
The SYSTECH ops team also provides synchronous virtual meeting and class spaces to faculty, staff, and students using Zoom and other technologies. Other IT responsibilities as assigned. This position is not responsible for providing patient care.
*Student must have WORK STUDY funding available, check with the Financial Aid Office if you’re unsure.
