Job summary

Regional One Health is seeking a Pharmacy student with enrollment in a clinical program to assist under licensed supervision. You will perform clerical and routine clinical tasks, transport materials, and support department operations while upholding privacy and safety standards.

This role emphasizes adherence to HIPAA and hospital policies, with opportunities to gain hands-on experience across age groups in a dynamic hospital setting, including flexible shifts and learning on the job.

Qualifications

  • Must be enrolled in an accredited program leading to a clinical degree (Associate, Bachelor or Master) or enrolled in an approved clinical training program
  • Completion of fundamentals coursework in clinical program
  • Qualified to work with the neonate, infant, toddler, pre-schooler, school-age, adolescent, adult, and/or geriatric patient population as specialty assignment dictates
  • At least 1 year experience On-the-job training

Responsibilities

  • Provides assistance and performs activities under immediate supervision of licensed personnel.
  • Transports charts, records, supplies, specimens, medications and equipment between hospital areas.
  • Performs clerical duties such as receptionist, answering phone, typing, filing, data entry, cross-checking, proofing, preparation of tables, reviewing and completion of forms, maintaining department documentation, and other related duties.
  • Performs routine technical duties related to function of assigned department, prepares documentation and maintains required records, charts and files.
  • Completes special projects as assigned.
  • Communicates and works effectively with hospital/medical staff, patients and others.
  • Maintains confidentiality in matters relating to patient/family, department and hospital information. Adheres to HIPAA, Confidentiality, and Compliance Policies.
  • Operates department equipment; assists in care and maintenance of department equipment, supplies and work areas.
  • Receives and stores items, supplies and material as directed.
  • Assists in maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
  • Completes required continuous training and education, including department specific requirements.
  • Demonstrates knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served within assigned area(s).
  • Works flexible shifts to include nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Performs other duties as required.

Job description

Using established procedures and working under immediate supervision of licensed personnel, performs clerical and routine clinical/technical duties related to function of assigned area(s). Must be enrolled in a School of Pharmacy to become a Pharmacist to qualify.

What you will do
