Job summary

Paycom is seeking a Financial Aid Specialist to support the administration and delivery of financial aid for prospective and current students. You will review documentation, determine eligibility, and package aid in compliance with regulations and institutional procedures.

You will collaborate with Admissions, Student Records, and the Business Office, maintain confidential records, and assist with audits and program reviews while upholding CARES philosophy.

Qualifications

• Experience in accounting, bookkeeping, banking, or finance.
• Knowledge of federal, state, and institutional financial aid policies is preferred.
• Must be organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple deadlines.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
• Proficiency with computers and student information systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist prospective and current students with financial aid applications and documentation.
• Review files for accuracy and follow up on missing documentation.
• Determine eligibility and package financial aid according to procedures.
• Maintain accurate and confidential financial aid records.
• Explain programs, eligibility, awards, and student responsibilities.
• Coordinate with Admissions, Student Records, Business Office, and other departments.
• Assist with reports, audits, and compliance activities.
• Identify discrepancies and escalate to leadership.
• Participate in training and institutional events as required.
