Responsibilities

  • Provide resume and cover letter reviews.
  • Collaborate in data entry of graduate employment data in compliance with reporting requirements.
  • Greet and assist students, alumni, employers and guests; monitor emails; handle inquiries; manage reciprocity communications.
  • Respond to job posting requests and maintain/update job postings on the CDO online job board; ensure employers are EEO.Coordinate and manage event logistics, room scheduling, calendar events, Zoom links, and marketing materials.
  • Schedule staff and counseling appointments; maintain office supplies; manage filing and vendor lists; update bulletin boards and handouts.
  • Publish career-related announcements on the CDO's Symplicity system.
  • Register employers for OCI; schedule interview dates; reserve rooms; arrange refreshments; support day-of logistics; process OCI fees.
  • Perform other office tasks and assist with special projects as needed.

Subject to the Student Career Assistant’s Schedule, Skills, and the Needs of our Office, Essential Duties and Responsibilities May Include any or all of the Following:
  • Provide resume and cover letter reviews
  • Collaborate in collection and data entry of graduate employment data, in compliance with applicable employment reporting requirements.
  • Stakeholder Relationship Management: greet and assist students, alumni, employers and guests; responsible for monitoring and resolving emails in the primary CDO inbox; handle and appropriately refer telephone inquiries; and manage student and alumni reciprocity requests and communications.
  • Job Postings: Respond to job posting requests,and maintain/update job postings on the CDO’s online job board, ensuring that employers who post with our office are EEO employers. Route job postings and inquiries to appropriate CDO staff as necessary.
  • Program Coordination: Secure room assignments, calendar programs/events, schedule IT/Tech, set up Zoom links, create event announcements, coordinate marketing materials, order food, arrange parking for speakers/guests, coordinate day-of-program set up, track attendance through QR codes and Zoom attendee spreadsheets.
  • Administrative Support: schedule staff and counseling appointments as needed; maintain and order office supplies; manage and assist students and staff with office equipment; maintain filing system for CDO invoices, orders, reference materials, and office correspondence; maintain CDO subscription lists and vendor lists; update bulletin boards, handouts, and other materials.
  • Communications: publish career-related announcements and event publicity on the CDO’s Career Services Management System (Symplicity).
  • On-Campus Interviews (OCI): In collaboration with other CDO staff, register participating employers; schedule employers’ interview dates; reserve interview rooms; arrange for employer refreshments; facilitate day-of logistics for in-person interviews; provide logistical support for students; facilitate collection and processing of OCI fees.
  • Perform other office and administrative tasks and assist with special projects as assigned.

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously under time constraints
  • Proficiency with relevant technologies, including Microsoft Office suite (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Enrollment as a University of Denver Student

Preferred Qualifications
  • Enrollment as a student in the Sturm College of Law
  • One year of experience in a professional environment providing administrativesupport
  • Experience with Symplicity or other Career Services Management systems
