Job summary

University of Minnesota is seeking an academic professional/administrative staff member to support Care Team services with non-clinical case management for students in distress. The role involves direct student support, resource referrals, and collaboration with campus partners in a hybrid work environment.

The position is full-time (100%), 12-month with annual renewal. Requires BA/BS with experience or a master’s degree with experience; strong communication and crisis-support skills are

Qualifications

• BA/BS with 4+ years of relevant experience or a master's degree with 2+ years.
• Experience with diversity, equity, and inclusion work.
• Experience with conflict management or conduct processes.
• Experience with people in crisis or distress.
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide follow-up support to faculty, staff, and student reporters involving distressed students.
• Develop detailed action plans and interventions for students in distress.
• Coordinate with University departments, faculty, staff, and community agencies.
• Record and review all facts using Maxient database.
• Provide referrals to campus and community support services.
• Follow up on prior cases to ensure recommendations are followed.
• Collaborate with CSAS leadership on case assignments.
• Support data analysis and budgeting tasks as needed.
• Engage in risk assessment and threat-related activities.
