Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving history.
• Certificate of training in first aid and CPR, if required by local contract.
• First aid endorsement on the special driver’s certificate, or equivalent training, if required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor pupils and daily school bus activities to ensure proper conduct and safety.
• Maintain attendance and ridership records and assign seating as needed.
• Observe routes and provide directional/routing assistance for substitute drivers.
• Verify route turn sheets and note any route changes in writing.
• Ensure safe loading and unloading of students and assist with seatbelts as needed.
• Establish and maintain effective communications with bus drivers, district personnel, students and parents.
• All other duties as assigned.
