Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving history.
• First aid and CPR training if required by local contract.

Responsibilities

• Monitor pupils and daily school bus activities to ensure proper conduct and safety.
• Maintain attendance and ridership records and assign seating as needed.
• Observe routes so substitute drivers can be guided with directional accuracy.
• Verify route turn sheets and note any route changes in writing.
• Assist with loading/unloading and ensure seatbelts are used when required.
• Establish and maintain effective communication with bus drivers, district personnel, students, and parents.
• All other duties as assigned.
