The Auburn University Bookstore is seeking part-time Cashiers to support daily operations on campus in Auburn, AL. You will process transactions, assist customers, and help keep the sales floor organized during peak periods including gamedays.

As a cashier, you will greet shoppers, answer questions about textbooks and scholarships, and ensure items are tagged and priced correctly. The role emphasizes friendly service, reliability, and teamwork in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• Enrolled Auburn University student eligible to work on campus.
• Available to work on Gamedays as needed.
• Ability to stand for 4 hours at a time.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

Overview

The Auburn University Bookstore is excited to search for Cashiers to help our retail processes run smoothly! Cashiers help the sales and service department by assisting customers, facilitating transactions, stocking merchandise, and other duties indicated below.

Responsibilities

• Process transactions at the cash register.
• Greet customers and assist them with finding the products and services they desire.
• Have an enthusiastic attitude toward helping others.
• Walk the sales floor regularly to monitor for loss prevention and ensure the sales floor and merchandise are clean and in order.
• Ensure merchandise is tagged correctly, scans at the right price, and is free of damage.
• Stock merchandise on the sales floor as needed.
• Assist in ordering, distributing, and collecting caps and gowns for graduation each semester.
• Answer questions students have regarding textbooks and scholarships.
