Job summary

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience working with emotionally disturbed adolescents/children preferred.
• Knowledge of crisis intervention skills and emergency procedures.
• Ability to obtain CPI/TCI within 3 months of employment.
• Ability to obtain First Aid and CPR Certification within 3 months of employment.
• Valid California driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• Background clearance including DOJ and related topics.

Responsibilities

• Monitors classroom or student as assigned and intervenes with removal, counseling and return.
• Liaison with teachers and behavior team to ensure intervention plans.
• Documents student behaviors and tracks target behaviors.
• Supports clients during non-school hours and school closures.
• Ensures timely safe campus transitions between activities.
• Administers counseling interventions per school policies.
