Job summary

The Foundation Schools is seeking Dedicated Aides to support assigned students by implementing behavior modification systems, school rules, and IEP goals. Aides accompany students to all classes and activities, support academic work, monitor safety, and maintain documentation of progress under the classroom teacher’s guidance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Related coursework or degree preferred.
• Six months of formal training or experience in special education or similar settings preferred.
• Bilingual (Spanish/English) abilities are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Shadow and monitor the assigned student throughout the day and document progress.
• Help the student reduce inappropriate behaviors using behavior management techniques.
• Assist with classwork and adapt instruction to IEP goals.
• Provide feedback to the teacher and team to adjust interventions as needed.
• Support transitions between classrooms and during lunch and arrivals/departures.
• Maintain confidentiality and uphold professional boundaries with students.
