Job summary

Mesa Public Schools is seeking staff to support safety, well-being and student success by assisting with behavior management and de-escalation. The role observes and documents student behavior and collaborates with staff to sustain an inclusive school environment.

Responsibilities include assisting with non-crisis interventions, monitoring students in seclusion or reset rooms, and supporting personal care needs when required. On-site work across school campuses.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Ability to communicate effectively with students, staff and families.
• Experience supporting students with special needs preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in non-crisis or physical intervention during de-escalation of students.
• Monitor and document behavior of students in seclusion or reset rooms.
• Support students with personal care needs due to medical conditions.
• Assist with daily activities and supervise student transitions.
• Maintain safety and respond to incidents and emergencies.
