Superstition High School in Mesa, Arizona is seeking a Student Intervention Specialist to support student safety, well-being, and success by assisting with behavior management and de-escalation strategies. This full-time role includes duties to observe and document student behavior and collaborate with staff to maintain a supportive environment.

Responsibilities cover non-crisis interventions, behavior monitoring, and occasional physical support within the school setting.

Qualifications

High School diploma or GED is required.

Responsibilities

Assist in non-crisis or physical intervention during de-escalation of students.
Monitor, observe and document behavior of students in seclusion or reset room.
May assist students with personal care needs due to medical conditions to ensure functioning in school.
Transfer and/or lift students to assist daily activities.
Identify students and non-students in violation of rules and report to authorities.
Assist with student supervision and transitions throughout the day.
Assist bus driver with bus security and discipline; ride bus as needed.
Serve as witness in disciplinary hearings or court cases as required.
Participate in meetings to share information and observations with staff.
Submit oral and written reports to school/district as required.
