California State University, Stanislaus is seeking a Temporary hourly-intermittent Student Assistant in the Basic Needs program. The role supports housing and financial security initiatives on campus and remotely as needed.

The position begins October 5, 2026 and ends May 31, 2027, with possible reappointment based on budget and performance. Responsibilities include workshops, referrals, records management, front desk support, and outreach.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate students must be registered/enrolled in a minimum of six (6) Fall/Spring units.
• Post-baccalaureate students in a graduate program must be registered in a minimum of four (4) Fall/Spring units.
• Preferred: experience with housing resources or student services.

Responsabilités

• Prepare and deliver educational workshops on housing and financial security to Stan State students (virtual or face-to-face).
• Maintain knowledge of local supportive services and resources for referrals.
• Triage student issues to personalize a support plan using interviewing skills.
• Maintain confidential student records and progress notes.
• Provide ongoing support through check-ins, referrals, and advocacy.
• Assist with front desk operations.
• Collaborate with faculty, staff, and external providers to share resources.
• Attend Basic Needs team meetings and provide updates.
