  • Assist with the operation of sound, lighting and backstage equipment during auditorium use by private rental organizations or other non-theatre Waller ISD organizations.
  • Demonstrate regular and prompt attendance for scheduled events.
  • Able to work together and problem-solve with a group of people to provide a positive client experience.

Job Description

Student workers (currently enrolled in Waller High School) will be assigned to work auditorium rentals, to run sound and lighting equipment.

Qualifications

Primary Purpose:

Responsible for assisting the Auditorium Manager with running audio/visual equipment as well as backstage work if needed. This position requires working on select nights and weekends, as scheduled.

Education / Certification
  • Current student of Waller ISD
  • 16 years or older
  • Clear and valid driver’s license
Special Knowledge / Skills
  • Skill in lighting and sound equipment and working live events: organization and attention to detail.
  • Skill in computer systems as they relate to lighting and sound equipment use.
  • Skill in operating the fly system and understanding safety measures when operating.
  • Skill in front‑of‑house and backstage communication and organization.
  • Provide an exceptional customer experience that will ensure a positive experience for the client.
Experience
  • Current or former students in Theatre Production and/or Technical Theatre classes at Waller High School (must be an active/enrolled student at WHS).
  • Experience required in stage management, light board operation, sound board operation, front of house management, and/or stage rigging.
