Qualifications

• Degree or formal training in social work preferred.
• Three years of experience in social work; school setting preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, computer literacy.
• Bilingual in local area languages.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Valid Florida driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates a classroom environment that encourages positive student learning and orderly conduct.
• Oversees attendance and truancy plans and tracks attendance for orientation cohorts.
• Communicates with parents to ensure regular attendance and awareness of attendance laws.
• Tracks attendance, academic and behavioral performance for orientation cohorts and reports to administration.
• Leads weekly attendance staff meetings with school leadership to discuss barriers and next steps.
• Prints and mails attendance letters and documents efforts in student records system.
• Collaborates with school staff to develop incentives for students with attendance issues.
