East Carolina University seeks several Assistant Learning Specialists to support Student-Athlete Academic Services. This on-campus, semester-long role requires day and/or evening hours and supports student-athletes in developing academic skills, with initial training on best practices for at-risk students.

Undergraduate students are paid $13.50/hour, graduate students earn $16.50/hour, and candidates must be ECU juniors or above with a GPA of 3.0 or higher.

Qualifikationen

• Semester-long commitment and may include daytime and/or evening hours.
• GPA minimum 3.0.
• Junior or above academic classification.
• Applicants with background or interest in education or human services fields encouraged to apply.
• License/certification required.

Aufgaben

• Plan sessions with learning specialists and identify student strengths/weaknesses.
• Collaborate with Academic Services staff on strategy and management of support.
• Assist students with task completion and skill-building during sessions.
• Complete initial and ongoing training on best practices for supporting at‑risk students.
• Provide detailed, timely communication on caseload progress using reporting procedures.
• Commit to designated work times.
• Complete all duties with integrity and maintain confidentiality.
• Demonstrate high accuracy and attention to detail.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
