Job summary

University of Maryland Eastern Shore invites applications for an Athletic Academic Advisor. This full-time, twelve-month role supports student-athletes to progress toward graduation and NCAA eligibility. The position reports to the Assistant Athletic Director for Academics and sits within the UMES Athletics department.

Salary ranges between $45,000 and $55,000 with full benefits. Responsibilities include advising, program support, and maintaining student records.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Two years of professional experience in academic advising or related student services.
• Additional work experience may substitute for education on a year-for-year basis.

Responsibilities

• Meet with student-athletes to advise on academics and study hall requirements.
• Advise diverse student-athletes on degree progress and major requirements; develop academic plans.
• Maintain academic files and log advising activity for each meeting.
• Monitor NCAA progress requirements and support department programs.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
