Job summary

Job Description

Child & Family Studies (CFS) is one of seven departments within the College of Behavioral & Community Sciences (CBCS). Organized into three research divisions and five academic programs that work synergistically, CFS currently has approximately 275 faculty and staff members.

Hourly Wage

Hourly Wage – $14.00 - $15.00

Position Summary

This position will report directly to Kimberly Read, Assistant Chair for Operations, and provide administrative support for a variety of departmental operations and initiatives. Responsibilities include coordinating projects, scheduling meetings, managing communications, maintaining records, and supporting day-to-day administrative activities. The individual in this role will also play an important role in organizing and maintaining the department's shared files and resources. This includes reviewing file systems for accuracy and consistency, reorganizing electronic records, identifying outdated or redundant materials, and helping establish efficient file management practices. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable offering suggestions to improve organizational processes and departmental efficiency.

Hours of Work

15-20 hours per week

Schedule

Schedule – Employee will coordinate with supervisor for schedule but should be available 15 to 20 hours a week, within the hours of 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Minimum Qualifications

Student must have a 2026 – 2027 Federal Work Study awarded and be available to work on campus.
