Georgia Gwinnett College is seeking a Student Assistant to serve as a Peer Supplemental Instruction Leader (PSI Leader) and tutor. You will support student success by facilitating PSI sessions, tutoring, and academic coaching on campus.

Ideal candidates are enrolled in at least 6 credits, maintain a 3.0 GPA, and have earned an A in any course they support. You must balance a part-time schedule and adhere to FERPA guidelines while representing the AEC in campus activities.

Qualifications

Job Summary

AEC Peer Leaders support student success by facilitating Peer Supplemental Instruction (PSI), tutoring, and/or academic coaching sessions.

  • Must possess attention to detail and superior organizational skills.
  • Must have the ability to handle confidential information and follow FERPA guidelines.
  • Ability to exhibit a level of competency or proficiency in the subject matter of the hire.
  • Ability to deal tactfully and courteously with students, faculty, and staff.
  • Ability to use the Internet and electronic mail systems.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, faculty, staff, and administration
