The University of Georgia is seeking a Student Assistant to join Dr. Zenglu Li’s laboratory in the Athens area. This student role involves field data collection and seed-lab support, with a part-time schedule capped at 20 hours per week as determined by the Supervisor.
Responsibilities include taking agronomic notes, harvesting soybean plots, weighing and cleaning samples, threshing plants, and preparing seed for spring planting, with emphasis on careful data recording and safety.

Regularly stand, sit, talk, hear, use hands and fingers to operate a commercial grinder and computer, reach, and stoop/kneel to lift. Lifting up to 50 lbs. Exposure to moderate‑loud noise (earplugs provided). Sit and perform repetitive tasks for long periods of time. Exposure to soybeans and ground soybean/soybean dust (mask provided).
