Job summary

Del Mar College is seeking a Student Assistant to support the Aviation Technology Education pool, assisting with upkeep of the aircraft hanger classroom and basic aircraft servicing. The role requires active Del Mar College enrollment in aviation courses and involves hands-on work in hangar environments.

Preferred candidates will have completed FAA General Knowledge courses and will assist faculty with equipment maintenance and aviation-related tasks on an as-needed basis.

Qualifications

• Current Del Mar College student enrolled in a minimum of 6 credit hours including Aviation course(s) while employed.
• Basic knowledge of aircraft, hanger environment, movement of aircraft, servicing of aircraft, handling of aviation related materials.
• Ability to use hand, precision, and pneumatic tools.
• Completion of FAA General Knowledge courses (Preferred).

This is a CONTINUOUS recruitment for an applicant POOL to fill Student Assistant assignments on an as-needed basis. Departments or Divisions will refer to the POOL of applications on file to fill temporary assignments as the need arises.
