METROPOLITAN STATE HOSPITAL-Located in Norwalk, Los Angeles County.
Department of State Hospitals -Metropolitan has various Student Assistant (SA) vacancies. Under close supervision of the Department Manager/Supervisor or designee and in a learning capacity, the SA provides clerical support. The SA is responsible for assisting by providing customer service to members of the public and hospital personnel; assists with the day-to-day clerical functions of the organization.
Employment is based on enrollment in a college curriculum and is restricted to students who are admitted for enrollment in a curriculum that will prepare them to attain the objectives of the organization where they are/will be employed.
Opened in 1916, DSH-Metropolitan State Hospital is in the vibrant community of Norwalk,15 miles east of Los Angeles. To the south are entertainment venues like Disneyland, Knott's Berry Farm, the marinas and beaches of Huntington, Newport and Laguna. To the west are Palos Verdes and Marina Del Rey.
