Job summary

Harper College in Palatine, IL seeks a Student Aide to deliver outstanding customer service in person, over the phone, and through written/virtual channels. You will also support office projects, student events, and engagement efforts for veterans and military-connected students.

Applicants must be Harper College students eligible for VA Work Study in Fall 2026, enrolled at least ¾ time, and using VA education benefits. Ability to lift 15 lbs and pass a background check may apply.

Overview

Student Aides must be able to provide exceptional customer service in-person, via telephone, and through written/virtual communication. Additional duties include helping the office with special projects, working student events, having a strong understanding of the opportunities for students to engage with The Center for Student Veterans and Military Connected Students and Student Engagement.

Special Notes

Due to the nature of event set-up, implementation, and tear down, students must be able to lift 15 lbs. Employment is contingent upon a Criminal Background Check for some positions. Employment sponsorship is not available.
