Job summary

Ashland School District is seeking a part-time temporary BSU Student Affinity Group Advisor to coordinate and facilitate affinity group meetings at Ashland High School. The role supports student identities, fosters safe spaces, and ensures regular monthly engagement in alignment with district policies.

The advisor will manage communications, attendance, and group activities while collaborating with administrators, equity staff, and other advisors.

Qualifications

• Personally identify with the same affinity as students in the affinity group, or demonstrate a strong allyship.
• Current ASD employees preferred; external hires possible if needed.
• Ability to plan, coordinate, and facilitate group meetings and activities within district policies.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and facilitate affinity group meetings that are safe and inclusive.
• Attend orientation and quarterly collaboration meetings with other affinity group advisors.
• Draft invitations and manage communications while protecting confidentiality.
• Track attendance, budget, and materials for each affinity group.
