Job summary

Ashland School District seeks a NASU Student Affinity Group Advisor to coordinate and facilitate affinity groups at Ashland High School. The role creates a safe, inclusive space, guiding meetings and activities with a monthly minimum of 150 minutes per group.

The advisor collaborates with site administrators, district staff, and regional partners to plan events, manage confidential records, and support student leadership while following district policies.

Qualifications

• Current employees of the Ashland School District are strongly preferred.
• Personally identify with the same affinity as students in the affinity group, or demonstrate strong allyship.

Responsibilities

• Attend affinity group advisor orientation and quarterly collaboration meetings.
• Coordinate meetings, invitations, and confidentiality of attendance records.
• Provide budget planning for snacks, materials, and activities within district guidelines.
• Work with site administrators and SOESD/Indian Ed. specialists to communicate district and group needs.
• Facilitate meetings, community building, and support student leadership and advocacy.
