Job summary

Austin Peay State University is seeking a Communications Coordinator to join the Student Affairs team. You will shape storytelling, engage students, and support divisional priorities through strategic marketing and cross-unit collaboration.

You will develop multimedia content, ensure brand consistency, and partner with Public Relations, Marketing, and other university teams to raise awareness of Student Affairs programs and services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, marketing, or related field.
• At least one year of relevant experience in communications, marketing, public relations, or related area.
• Master’s degree and 2+ years of related experience preferred, with higher education experience advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate content development and production for division communications and promotions.
• Develop clear, engaging messaging for print collateral, digital assets, web pages, emails.
• Assist with press releases and social media content scheduling and publishing.
• Maintain branding, accessibility standards, and consistency across platforms.
• Update webpages and support communications campaigns to raise program awareness.
