Responsibilities

• Student Outreach & Mentorship: Proactively engage and mentor at-risk students by cultivating strong, trust-based relationships that support academic, behavioral, and social-emotional development.
• Key Role in MTSS Framework: Actively support the school’s MTSS framework, focusing on Tier 2 and Tier 3 students through monitoring, mentoring, and progress tracking.
• Relationship Building with Students: Build trust-based relationships to address academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs.
• Guidance and Advocacy: Provide holistic student support to help students meet academic, behavioral, and graduation requirements, coordinating with families and staff.
• Academic Support and Coaching: Help students set goals, monitor progress, develop study habits, and transition back to Tier 1 when appropriate.
• Communication and Collaboration: Maintain timely, professional communication with students, families, staff, and community stakeholders.
• Data Collection and Progress Monitoring: Collect and analyze attendance, academic progress, engagement, and behavior data to inform interventions.
• Record Keeping and Confidentiality: Keep accurate documentation in line with confidentiality and district policies.
• Student Supervision: Assist in supervising students in instructional and non-instructional settings to maintain a safe learning environment.
• Social-Emotional Support: Provide a safe space for students to build resilience and interpersonal skills.
• Professional Growth: Participate in ongoing professional learning and meetings to support improvement.
• Classroom Support and Substitute Coverage: Provide classroom support and substitute coverage as needed.
